Red Wine Stewed Rice
They say tomato and basil are the best combo. Agreed, however I’d say tomato and red wine are soul mates.
Ingredients: onion, garlic, brown rice, bay leave, sea salt, pepper, olive oil, tomato, green pepper, sausage, zucchini and parsley.
First, make the perfect broth with red wine, garlic, onion, salt, olive oil, bay leave and water, then add in your rice
Add tomato, green pepper and more red wine later on. Bring the heat down for 40-50 minutes. Check and stir often. Adjust the flavors based on your taste
Add some sliced zucchini, sausage, garlic and extra red wine right before turning the heat off to give it an extra kick
Sprinkle some fresh parsley and or parmasan
This dish has so many deep layers of incredible flavors yet, it’s so easy to make, one pot to the end, bachelor/bachelorette food.
Note: sub the brown rice with Aborio rice or any kind of long grain rice.
