Grilled Pineapple Fried Rice

I was in the mood for something sweet and sour (and Chinese), so I made fried rice with grilled pineapple. Well, not really on the grill, once in a blue moon, I’ll break out the panini press and let it do the dirty work.

Whoa, the whole kitchen smelled like sweet caramel, not a complaint.

Ingredients: brown rice, red onion, garlic, red pepper, frozen peas, egg, soy sauce, black pepper and a little sugar. You can add whatever veggies you have in handy and or shrimp, salmon, etc.

 

WTH?! My cat’s diggin’ this good stuff πŸ™‚

 

Result is scrumptious, scrumptious, and scrumptious

Don’t just look at it, make it! A friendly reminder: top if off with one of the condiment must haves: Mr. Sriracha! You’re welcome.

 

PS: No canned pineapple, that’s called cheating and yukky, fresh only please.
